What we collect

Nothing you can identify. Free Wordle Today is a fully static website — there are no accounts, no comment systems, and no user profiles. We do not ask for, receive, or store your name or location. If you contact us through the Google Form on our contact page, whatever you type there (typically your name and email) is stored by Google Forms solely so we can reply to you.

Cookies and local storage

We set no tracking cookies. The site may use your browser's local storage solely to remember interface preferences on your own device (for example, dismissed banners). That data never leaves your browser and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

Log data

Like every website, our hosting provider processes standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to deliver pages and defend against abuse. These logs are retained briefly by the host and are never used by us to profile or track individual visitors.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which pages are popular, rough geography, device types — so we can improve the site. GA4 sets a small set of first-party cookies and processes pseudonymous identifiers; it does not tell us who you are. You can block it with any content blocker or viaGoogle's opt-out add-on.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

To keep the tools free, this site may show ads served by Google AdSense or similar networks. When ads are enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies (such as the advertising cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.

Third-party services

Fonts are self-hosted and every asset is served from this domain. Aside from the ad network described above (when enabled), visiting our pages does not ping Google, Facebook, or any tracker. Where we link to external sites — such as the official Wordle page at nytimes.com — those sites' own privacy policies apply once you follow the link.

Children

This site is a general-audience word-game resource and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
